The shoes they created have had a bad response has it is not only aimed at certain body types it is also going against the idea of equality and that everyone is beautiful. This is a new low for Dolce and Gabbana as its excluding so many people and living in the past.

One called the Designer "irresponsible" for pushing a message that wasn't inclusive to all sizes. What added fuel to the fire was that Gabbana responded to the haters with, "Darling you prefer to be fat and full of cholesterol??? I think u have a problem." The backlash from the trainers was originally bad but the comment that Gabbana left on a post he posted of the shoes created more consumers to be hurt by his response making the shoes not inclusive. The way the brand went around the issue made their reputation worse which made people have a negative opinion on the brand especially Stefano Gabbana.
