Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani states on their website they do not test on animals although as they products are sold in mainland china this means they are not animal cruelty free.
The Daily Mail wrote an article stating that Giorgio Armani critics that men who work out too much and women with breast enlargements. By Armani making this statement it would turn some of their consumers away who might have those traits. This would encourage consumers to go to a competitors brand instead if they take offence to the comment. However Armani's ad campaigns include muscly men in boxers which goes against his statement.
For the top 5 richest fashion designers Giorgio Armani is at the top whereas Dolce and Gabbana is 4th of the ranking. Although this could be because of pricing. D&G is the 7th most expensive designer brand where as Armani is 10th. As there products are cheaper this could result in more people shopping at the cheaper option which is Armani; making more sales.
In and article written by The Guardian, Armani accused D&G of plagiarized one of his designs. Accusing D&G of copying one of their designs which was a pair of trousers. Stating that D&G used the design 16 times in their collection. D&G replied to Armani's accusation saying "Surely we still have much to learn, but definitely not from him". Showing clearly the rival between the two brands making them very competitive against each other.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armani
