Brand History: looking into Dolce and Gabbana.

• Domenico Dolce was born in Polizzi Generosa in September 1958. His family owned a small clothing business, where he worked from being a young child; getting him into fashion from a young age. However Stefan Gabbana was born in Milan in November in 1962. He studied graphics but then went into fashion. After a short period of working as assistant designers, they founded the Dolce and Gabbana label.
• Dolce and Gabbana had its first runway show as part of the new talent group in Milan in 1985. They immediately became popular in the press, and their ascent has continued as they established new labels.
• Dolce and Gabbana's net worth for 2019 is 1.3 billion.
• In 2009 it states they had 93 boutiques and 11 factory outlets and was sold in over 80 countries. In all they have 251 mono-brand stores.
• They design a mens line, D&G, jeans, a bridal line, and knitwear. they have licenses for eye wear, underwear, handbags and shoes. They have two perfumes, Dolce and Gabbana and By Dolce and Gabbana. 
• In 1986 they released their first collection known as "real women". They released their first men's wear collection in 1990.
• In 1996 they released "Ten years of Dolce and Gabbana" for their 10th year anniversary. It included their best images and text to some up their achievement of the first 10 years.
• They created their D&G junior range in 1999.
• In 2003 their newest store opened in Milan which is 3 floors.
• The individual stores have lamps of venini glass, made by the designs of Domenico Dolce.
